THIS is what I love - traveling, documenting, creating memories, both of my couples and for myself as a destination photographer.

I'm so damn honored and blessed and lucky to be on this journey.

Now - let's go somewhere phenomenal, ANYWHERE in the world, and let's make more rad images!

WHITE MAGAZINE FEATURE | Brianna & Kasey | Nashville, TN

Brianna & Kasey's magical, rainy estate wedding in Nashville, TN was featured on White Magazine's blog today!

If ‘True Love’ exists, it resides within Brianna and Kasey. And not just for the love they share together, but for the love their family and friends feel for them. On their wedding day the heavens opened up, the reception site flooded and filled with mud, yet all they cared about was marrying each other. In fact, they jumped into the pool in full wedding attire at the end of the night! Brianna looked stunning in her Rue de Seine gown, fresh new ink hidden behind her ring finger – an outline of an Emperor Penguin (Kasey’s favorite hockey team, and also the Emperor Penguin is a species that mates for life). Kasey, with his long curly hair, dressed in the most stylish blue velvet suit, and sported a Storm Trooper helmet for quite a bit of the evening!

From Brianna:

“We have always been friends and always will be friends which has made our adventure so fun. Wedding planning was fun and overall pretty easy. We are more laid back people and we knew that our main focus was making sure that our wedding was FUN. Coming from an event planning background (The Dress Theory Nashville), we were able to do almost all the planning and design ourselves which made it so special. We never quite had a vision for a whole “theme” of the day. We just kept making decisions and rolling with it! We wanted color and fancy clothes but also tacos and tequila. It was raining on the day of our wedding so everyone got muddy, but it was the most AMAZING day of our entire lives.”

Rock City Elopement | Chattanooga, TN | Morgan & Brandon

Morgan and Brandon eloped at Rock City.

I'm sure you've heard of it - if you've ever traveled through the south, you've seen billboards, barn roofs, and bird houses all plastered with, "See Rock City." The legend claims you can see seven states from the overlook. Though just between you and me, it's not like they're clearly defined with black thick boundaries like they are on a map, so who really knows what you're looking at. Regardless, it's a beautiful attraction, well known for its swinging bride, Lover's Leap, and the waterfall.

Morgan and Brandon wanted to merge their two small families in an intimate ceremony - no other friends or family members, just the two of them and their two adorable boys.

We sucked in for Fat Man's Squeeze, clung to the wire cords of the swinging bridge, and chose the sight for their wedding vows right atop the overlook with the Tennessee Valley spread out beneath us. It was sweet and romantic, and their boys made it fun and turned it into an adventure - my favorite type of wedding.

Timber Ridge Lodge | Keystone, Colorado | Lindsey and Jared

keystone_colorado_wedding_photographer

To say this is one of my all time favorite weddings is an understatement. I first met Lindsey and Jared at Denver Beer Co. to talk about their wedding - it's a brewery, okay. I knew right then we were going to get along. We stayed for several hours while we discussed their golden retrievers, their love for the mountains, snowboarding, hiking, and SEC football. Umm, hello new best friends!

The day of their ceremony, Maria and I drove to Keystone, Colorado on a blustery, but warm August Friday. We rode in a ski-lift to their private mountain-top venue - yes, I mean the whole mountain top was theirs for the day! Jared wore his emotions on his sleeve, and forgive me, but damn, do I love an emotional groom. To see a man clearly so in love with his bride, and so overwhelmed with joy and happiness.... excuse me, I'm not crying - you're crying!

These two have never once made me feel like a just another vendor or hired help. They wanted Maria and I to dance, and to celebrate, and to laugh with all of them like we were guests. That's how you know you've snagged that dream client - they're friends. Also - be sure to check out their engagement session at Piney Lake - another favorite!

By the way, the creative team for this wedding was just next level! I absolutely recommend each of these vendors!

McNichols Civic Center | Denver, Colorado | Jeanne and Chad

mcnichols_civic_center_colorado_wedding_photographer

Brace yourselves. This is a long one.

Reasons why Jeanne and Chad's urban Denver wedding was awesome:

  • Denver. Duh.
  • Jeanne's Japanese heritage influence
  • Origami
  • Live band
  • The Denver Beer Olympics were happening in the backyard
  • Hello Kitty Wedding Cake. I repeat, Hello Kitty Wedding Cake.
  • Dip-dyed BHLDN thrifted wedding gown
  • All the big, dramatic Grecian columns
  • Coordinated first dance with wedding party. And hats.
  • Love love love
  • Lots of dancing

This wedding rocked my socks off. Go on, see for yourself!
