Emily and Roberto came over to hang out at my little home in St. Elmo back on October 13 (that was Friday the 13th!), to shoot this fun pumpkin carving love story session! I've been dying for Halloween to get here to share it with you!
Halloween is hands down my favorite holiday. I spend all month long only watching horror movies and spooking myself something spectacular every time I'm home alone. I am so excited to be in our little neighborhood for it this year! The leaves are fire engine red, the cobwebs are decor, and grinning jack-o-lanterns are on every doorstep!
Emily and Berto had just celebrated their one year anniversary *high fives*! Berto is originally from South Africa and this was his very first time carving a pumpkin! I'm not sure he really knew what he'd gotten himself into until he peered down inside the ooey-gooey guts of the pumpkin. Then we told him he had to dig all the goop out! But, I mean, could this have gotten any stinkin' cuter!? Oh, and I don't know if you can tell or not, but they totally free-handed that design ;)
We took a stroll around the block after drinking a Shipyard pumpkin ale (or two), admiring all the front yard decorations and discussing Halloween plans and costumes. Kind of a perfect autumn Friday the 13th if you ask me!
Tonight, I'll be dressing up as Beetlejuice (duh, green hair), passing out candy, and binge-watching Stranger Things with my love! What are your plans?! Post your costume in the comments!
