Raccoon Mountain | Engagement | Mary Catherine and Danny

Mary Catherine and I were connected by a mutual friend which I'm so thankful for! We quickly found out that we're both creatives who also happen to live in the same neighborhood. She is an incredibly talented painter!

But what I love most is that she and Danny met at a wedding! He kept asking her to dance, she gave in, and they spent the rest of the night dancing it away! I mean, come on! How could I NOT love that story!?

Now they're on to new adventures with their upcoming nuptials, Danny's graduation from school, and heading soon to their new station (he's military!). Which is a little sad for me seeing as she's moving away from our awesome little urban 'hood!

Their engagement session happened right after a big summer storm - in fact it was still raining right up until the moment I took the first shot! Raccoon Mountain was at its most beautiful with twilight fog settling in over the mountains and then eventually engulfing us. Seriously guys, no smoke bombs were used - this was all totally natural #organic #vegan #freerange

It's moments like these that fill me overwhelming gratitude for Tennessee - not always an easy thing with humidity and mosquitoes but every now and then, I'm reminded why this is home.
