A NOTE FOR YOU
a love well celebrated
To the two of you -
I loved hearing about the celebration you’re creating, especially because so much of what you described feels rooted in experience rather than convention.
A small ceremony with your families gathered in front of the house. Private vows before the rest of the evening begins. Nearly 200 of your favorite people arriving for cocktails and stepping into a space you’ve thoughtfully designed to feel more like an incredible house party than a traditional wedding reception.
There is something intentionally personal about that.
You’re not interested in doing things simply because weddings are “supposed” to look a certain way. You want to host beautifully, create an atmosphere people can feel the moment they arrive, and still leave enough looseness in the day for everyone — yourselves included — to actually enjoy it.
That instinct is very aligned with the way I photograph.
I want the images to feel considered without feeling controlled. Editorial without becoming overly posed. Beautiful enough to belong in a magazine, but honest enough that twenty years from now you can still remember exactly what it felt like to be there.
THE VISION
EDITORIAL IN INSTINCT.
ALIVE IN FEELING.
The Moon on Ponce feels like such a natural setting for the world you’re imagining.
Its historic character, garden atmosphere, and slightly mysterious old-house quality already give us a beautiful visual language to work within — something romantic, layered, and a little unexpected. It’s more secret garden than ballroom, a more beautifully curated gathering than traditional wedding production.
I see the photographs carrying that same tension.
Portraits that feel artful and composed without becoming perfect for perfection’s sake. The texture of the house and garden. The spaces you’ve designed. Your families gathered closely around you for the ceremony. Your friends getting ready with you without the formality of a traditional wedding party. The shift in energy when the doors open and 175 people begin filling the property.
And underneath all of it, the documentary layer: gestures, movement, laughter, reunions, the chaos of a big family alongside the intimacy of a small one, and all the things happening around you that you will never be able to see for yourselves in real time.
The photographs should feel like the party itself: stylish, alive, intimate and a little undone around the edges.
COMPOSED. LIVED-IN. A LITTLE STRANGE.
THE EXPERIENCE
before
01
We build the visual language before I ever lift the camera. Through thoughtful conversations and close collaboration with Candace, we’ll shape a photography timeline around your traditions, priorities, and the moments that need room to unfold, so the day feels supported, never overproduced.
during
02
Direction when it serves the photograph and observation when the moment is already doing something better. Your wedding moves from an intimate family ceremony into a much larger celebration, and the resulting story gets to hold both sides: the quiet and the energy, the refinement and the spontaneity.
after
03
Every final image is individually edited and your gallery is thoughtfully sequenced so it feels less like receiving hundreds of disconnected photographs and more like returning to the story.
Should you want something physical to live with beyond the screen, custom fine-art albums and heirloom pieces are available after the wedding.

Not because they are perfect, but because each one contains a pulse, a point of view, or a moment that could never be manufactured.
YOUR COLLECTION
All of it,
Because your wedding doesn’t follow a particularly traditional format, I don’t think your photography collection should be built around one either.
This collection is designed to give us the space for the quieter pieces you described - getting ready with your closest friends, your first look and private vows, portraits and your intimate family ceremony - while still allowing me to stay deeply present for the transformation into the larger house party you’re creating afterward.
It also includes an engagement session, which I think is especially worthwhile for the two of you. It gives us the chance to make photographs together without the architecture of the wedding day around us and, just as importantly, lets the three of us establish a rhythm before October.
