Colorado | Kristie | Creative: Taylor English Photography

Kristie is another Colorado transplant from Alabama. We had once or twice before, and then she reached out to me asking if we could shoot some portraits before her big 3-0! (Not as if she looks it, right?!).

We had so much fun prowling around the side of highways - shooting in an open space, and then crawling over barbed wire fences, and trekking through waist-high grass to find this little creek - literally off the side of Coal Creek Canyon.

We shot a variety of portraits from ethereal to bridal to downright sexy. We had way too much fun, and since then I count Kristie as a friend, and a regular model to shoot with!

Bride So Pure: Creative Bridal Portraits

Creative bridal sessions are absolutely at the top of my list for things I love to shoot. When I meet a model who is willing to shoot my crazy ideas, and allows me to create the images I see in my head is even better! Cassandra Lynn had no problem stepping into a bathtub filled with warm milk and flowers (warm because I didn't want her to freeze to death!). She was an absolute pro! I have several more upcoming creative bridal sessions I cannot wait to share! <3

Lindsay Lee: Taylor English Photography

This creative portrait shoot turned into quite the adventure!

I am still learning my Colorado surroundings, so a lot of my location scouting comes from either driving around or virtually exploring Google Maps. Lindsay lives in Fort Collins so I was looking for certain places to meet in the middle, and thought I had found the perfect one! So we set a date and a time and we headed out to meet one another. This particular location was somewhere along the mountain ridge, and so about 15 minutes away, I lost all cell reception and service! After driving aimlessly around, I realized I was never going to find this place! Drove back closer to town, fretting and anxious that Lindsay had already returned home (as I was 30 minutes late at this point!), but she too was lost! We met up, and traveled together down the road to this creek area in Lyons! We ended up sneaking onto someone's property to get some shots of her with this wood-pile, when we were approached and watched by the land owner - who looked like he belonged in the deleted scenes of the film Wrong Turn. We high-tailed it out of there, but we got some great images regardless!

I think I should add "Adventure Photographer" to my repertoire. Seems I am always getting my clients into hairy situations, but hey, that makes for some pretty great photos!

Jess Marie : Taylor English Photography

I met Jess when I started collaborating with Timber Threads. She is the right-hand woman in charge of operations in Denver, but she also has quite the talent in front of the camera. We put together a super quick little test shoot at Golden High School where Jess totally rocked it! She immediately reminded me of Ariel with that jewel-toned red hair, and was totally okay with posing with a hula hoop! I am looking forward to working with her more as a model and with Timber Threads!

Timber Threads: Taylor English Photography

I had an awesome time this week working with local Colorado apparel company Timber Threads! Our model is the beautiful and talented Bryn Carter. We met at Union Station and wandered the nearby blocks searching for anything industrial and unique - which there is a lot of in downtown Denver. I really am falling love with that city! This is my first shoot and collaboration since having moved out here, and I could not be more pleased! I will be shooting more for them and I am so looking forward to it!
