THE ATLANTA RESIDENCE •
STUDIO SITTINGS

For two days, I’m taking up residence in an Atlanta studio to make a very particular kind of portrait: intimate, fashion-aware, art-directed, and still loose enough for real life to interrupt the polish.

These sittings are for families, couples, and individuals. No themed sets. No decorative filler. No matching-outfit requirement.

Just a blank white studio, beautiful light, thoughtful styling, and photographs built around the people actually standing in front of me.

A PORTRAIT, NOT A PERFORMANCE

Maybe you have a brand-new baby and want photographs of this strange, tender little season before it changes again.

Maybe your kids are three and six and incapable of standing still for longer than eight seconds.

Maybe they’re sixteen and twenty and you realized you haven’t had a photograph of everyone together in years.

Maybe your parents are getting older. Maybe your children are grown. Maybe it’s just you and your partner because fifteen years together deserves documenting too.

Or maybe there is no milestone at all.

You simply want really good photographs of yourself.

All of that belongs here.

Polished or chaotic – all you.

Movement over stiff poses

Intentional, not over-styled

Details, connection, and the in-between

These SITTINGS are intentionally stripped back.

The studio is white and minimal, which means there is nowhere for the photographs to hide behind decor or elaborate production. What you wear matters. The way you move together matters. Expression, gesture, shape, connection, and personality all become the visual language.

I’ll direct you throughout the session, but I’m not interested in turning everyone into the same perfectly posed family.

Some photographs will be composed and editorial. Some will be loose. Some will be quiet. Some may be weird or funny or unexpectedly tender.

The goal is a set of portraits that IS beautiful because it IS specific to you.

Simple space. Strong photographs.

Come as you are. With good styling.

Wardrobe is part of the creative direction.

Think beautiful silhouettes, good texture, interesting proportion, tonal dressing, denim, tailoring, bare feet, an oversized shirt, a great dress, something structured against something soft.

Not everyone needs to match. In fact, please don’t.

Once you book, you’ll receive a private portrait guide with the full visual direction, wardrobe guidance, styling references, and everything you need to plan without spiraling into twelve open shopping tabs.

THE CREATIVE BRIEF

who is a studio sitting for?

These are not just for families.

Bring your newborn.

Bring your BEST FRIEND.

Bring your three teenagers who claim they hate being photographed.

Bring your mother.

Bring three generations.

Bring the person you’ve been in love with for twenty years.

Or come alone.

You do not need a major life event to justify HAVING photographs of yourself.

Sometimes being here, now, is enough.
